German Reunification Day

We are proud to announce that the HIM harpist’s children’s ensemble have been invited to perform at the reception of the German Reunification Day on October 3, 2007. The German Reunification Day is a national holiday that celebrates the reunification of Germany as one country since the historic decimation of the Berlin wall over 17 years ago. German Consul General Christian Stocks will be present at this special anniversary event.

Eyes of Child

The Hope Institute will be taking part in a dinner/fundraiser for the Eyes of Child, a non profit organization that helps take exploited children of Brazil of the streets and to a positive, loving environment. The fundraiser will take place in the US and will have the Consuls of Brazil & Chile on hand to attend and speak on the solutions to this crisis in South America. LA Children's Festival

The LA Children’s Festival is the year -end culmination of our music classes at Hope. Children from HIM and across greater LA will showcase their talents and will be rewarded for their hard work and dedication this year. The festival will be in conjunction with the celebrated “Feria de los Ninos” festival. The “ Feria de los Ninos” has been in existence for over 35years, and was created by the City of LA-Department of Recreation & Parks as a way to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of youth in the Latino community. The festival will be on both September 29, & 30, 2007 in Hollenbeck Park of Boyle Heights. Puppeters, clowns, face-painters, actors, and various musicians will also be on hand to perform. The event is free and open to the public. Save the date-it will truly be one not to miss!
