Sunny, center director of Hope Institute of Music, has performed in Europe, Asia and the USA both as a member of Seoul Philharmonic as a Principal Harpist and soloist. Sunny did her undergraduate work at USC in harp performance. She enjoys working with children and leads young children's recitals and performances at various places in the City of Los Angeles. Ms. Ahn has been a dedicated harp teacher and her young students Harp Ensemble was invited to play at the California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Inauguration in 2007.

Carri Brown attended New York University and Brown University with a degree in Drama and International Relations. Carri has always loved working with children. At an early age, she volunteered with children with disabilities. Later, she taught swimming lessons and horse-back riding lessons to young children. She has also been musical through the influence of her family: studying piano, voice and learning the soundtracks to most of the Broadway musicals! Since college, Carri has continued to love her connection with children. Most recently, Carri particpated as a counselor in the city schools of New York helping them to deal with the after-affects of 9/11.

Marisa is a well-rounded musician who has been performing for over fifteen years. While attending college, Marisa toured through Austria, Czsch Republic, England, and Germany with this award winning Chamber Choir. Marisa is currently choral directing, and giving private voice lessons at the Los Angeles Music and Art School, and the Hope Institute of Music. Along with her teaching, Marisa is also an active member of the Screen Actors Guild, and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.

Laura is a first year Master's student studying vocal performance at the University of Southern California. She recently received her Bachelor of Music degree in voice from Boston University (summa cum laude, valedictorian), where she received the Ellalou Dimmock Voice Honors award as well as the Boston University Opera Institute award. Laura has performed in many operas at Boston University, as well as at various summer opera programs. She has also spent summers working with children through educational outreach performance programs and running a vacation Bible school specializing in music and theater.

Melissa Simpson is a first years Master’s candidate at the University of Southern California in the vocal arts program. She received her Bachelors of Music degree with an emphasis in performance at California State University Long Beach where she received the Howard Still memorial scholarship and the Dramatic Allied Arts Guild scholarship. She was a young artist last spring for Long Beach Opera and this year she is in the Opera Pacific Ensemble of Repertory. She has done many outreach shows and taught vacation bible school as well as counseled children in the YMCA.

For just a time as this comes an extraordinarily fresh musical talent with a profoundly moving sound and spirit: classical guitarist Patrick Nathanael Anderson. Patrick is an exceptional musician and educator. He has received first prize in national and regional competitions (2003 Mid-America Guitar Chamber Competition; 2002 ASTA, Los Angeles) for solo and ensemble performing. He has toured throughout Mexico, the United Kingdom and the Western United States, most notably, as guest artist at the La Capilla Gotica international guitar festival in Mexico City (2004), the 2006 Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland and a soloist in the first annual Santa Barbara Guitar Festival (2007). He is currently pursuing a graduate degree at the University of Southern California where he has won numerous scholarships and awards for his studies. As an educator, Patrick on the faculty of the Masters College (Valencia, CA) and Westmont College (Santa Barbara, CA). He is also trained in the Suzuki method, specializing in the education of young children and maintains a vigorous teaching schedule.

Julie Ingram is originally from Long Beach, CA, Julie pursued her BA in Italian Literature from UC Berkeley and then headed to New York to intern at the Juilliard Opera Center. From there she decided to get her Master of Music degree from the University of Texas at Austin. From 2003-2007, she sang with the Austin Lyric Opera Chorus as well as coordinated the Early Childhood Music Program at the Armstrong Community Music School of Austin Lyric Opera. She is a Certified Music Together teacher. Currently she teaches Orff classes at the Pasadena Conservatory of Music as well as a senior citizen choir in Highland Park. She is a fan of all genres of music and looks forward to quality, fun music-making!

Starting at the age of four, Jonathan has been studying music. From Honorable Mention at age 7 in the St. Paul Strings competition-Junior division to First in the Michiana String Teachers Association annual competition, he has been actively performing and playing in ensembles and professional orchestras. He has studied with many internationally known teachers, including Steven Doane (Eastman), Hans Jorgan Jensen (Northwestern), Sir Erling Blondal Bengtsson (University of Michigan), and Yehuda Hanani. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Michigan School of Music, and a Masters Degree and Artist Diploma from the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati. He has been living in Los Angeles since 2007. He performs on a cello by William Whedbee made in 2002 in Chicago.
